It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the peak baggers, are all that remain for a side that has won it all.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It is hard for their hitters to maintain a record if never given the possibility.

Finally, the result of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to produce her latest masterpiece.

Initially recognized as the teenage relative of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her country didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups held the previous year and has experienced everything through 15 championship-filled years since.

A T20 World Cup win happened three months after her bow and seven global championships have come from 10 attempts across formats.

The tough gloveman was also there in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India momentarily interrupted the run of success.

That loss "drove us to reevaluate our levels," Healy said this week.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the title decider and was awarded tournament MVP. She made sure her country would not fall short again.

If this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was considerably tougher to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this performance was preceded by six games in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in practice sessions, it's been a frustrating experience because I feel like I've had no rhythm at all," stated Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your competitive nature take over and you simply focus on the competition."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her key asset - and an irreplaceable characteristic in taking over from legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in every game, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

A single came off the opening delivery and from there the batsman was in motion.

"The possibility to take the field and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 as she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was dismissed Australia required another 66 at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I am glad we have the belief to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we believe we can achieve it."

That comment will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship want to hear.

During the last week a belief they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this success following success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was in the semi-finals they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated through the pain.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those fitness problems have postponed thoughts of retirement, this tournament is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as skipper.

Triumph in India would lead her to the peak of her last major obstacle.
