Los Angeles witnessed citywide festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans across the globe joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a team has secured consecutive championships.

Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout

Local celebrations featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.

Online footage show countless of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy high.

“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an translator.

The parade route ended at the stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and Ice Cube driving a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the MVP of the championship, commented plainly about the win.

Mixed Reactions and Community Spirit

In contrast, Mark Walter received a less warm reception at the celebration. Recordings from the gathering seem to depict him walking onstage to a combination of cheers and boos, with negative shouts punctuating his address.

The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.

“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” he said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
