Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes text commentary of the weekend matchups via multiple platforms, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, radio commentary is available through designated networks for another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week in the football calendar , following recent discussion regarding two top teams as possible championship contenders, each lost their perfect starts.

Striking in those games were the number of infractions each conceded. Philadelphia did so in key moments meaning they essentially beat themselves having led 17-3 going into the final quarter versus the Denver Broncos, set to play overseas this weekend.

But it proved good to observe that Denver quarterback Bo Nix was able to have that deficit before direct three successful possessions in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the game by four points.

Denver boast the defensive player of the year with cornerback their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, while the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, yet Denver won that battle.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of simulated pressure. They did not always rushing more than four pass rushers instead they could plug two LBs in the 'A' gap before withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.

Early on in the campaign, we said on a program that Denver could be the current year's dark horses. They finished the previous year well then excelled of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

New tight end their tight end has stepped up big while recent running back JK Dobbins is a guy the team trusts. He's currently fifth league-wide in ground gains (over 400) as well as tied for fourth in rushing scores (four).

It's impressive that the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.

This demonstrates that Denver are a team that wants to prioritize the run, since one can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces opposing rushes and keeps you in favourable down and distances.

It's also helped quarterback Bo Nix, who entered the NFL as a first-round selection in the prior draft, passing for 29 TDs – second only to a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert possess powerful arms to pass all over, however they lack the mobility as Nix. He boasts incredible arm talent, which is different, and he is so athletic.

His strengths include his movement, the capacity to pass while moving, and using varied release points to make throws when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to throw precision throws over the middle or past defenders.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he's got great composure in the pocket and is not bothered by extra rushers. He tries to evade a sack whenever possible and can pass in tight spots. He possesses sharp intelligence and is very decisive.

If you constantly run the ball it consumes the clock and makes the opponent to stay in play extended periods, and if you've got an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the field downfield and horizontally. This proves draining.

Nix has bitten back with the coach during games sometimes and it seems the coach appreciates that attitude, seeing him as a fierce rival. In my view it's fun for the coach to have a rookie QB who's kind of like moldable clay. He can really build something up the way he wants to build it. I believe it's a unique opportunity for him.

The head coach has won a championship and now surpassed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen everything. I think the success Denver are experiencing offensively is mostly due to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB aids make him what he is.

You wouldn't want a better guy in your ear, to assist you through difficult moments and boost confidence.

I believe in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. Yet is the team strong enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia in their last game.

Right now, it's unlikely Denver are elite. They're working better than most, which is a good place to be in their division. The key to do to continue this path.

They excel at embracing their forte, which is the ground game, and that's exactly what they should do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be a Dobbins-focused game, essentially.

New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they are the sole squad without a win a game.

Ever since the NFL started recording takeaways decades ago, this team are also the inaugural squad to be without any turnovers through five games, this is surprising considering that the head coach was previously a defensive coach with another team.

Patrick Mahomes stated the Chiefs are off to a poor start after Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.

Following this Sunday's game, Denver have a smooth-ish schedule up to their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans and Las Vegas Raiders before the Chiefs.

In their division, Kansas City hold a losing record while Denver are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could make a run at leading the West.

It depends upon what version of the Chiefs they meet because Denver {beat|def
