The Serious Allegations The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021. A deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.” The Investigation The charges come after what police described as a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley. Spencer is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th. Breakdown of Offences The charging documents outline the forty-five charges include: 15 counts of assault. Seventeen counts of assault by penetration. Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen. 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration. One count of attempting to assault by penetration. Authorities have asked individuals with information to contact the investigating team.
